About the Scheme

Aspiring Solicitors is delighted to be partnering with international law firm, BCLP and leading financial services client, BNP Paribas to deliver a mentoring scheme for Aspiring Solicitors members.

The mentoring scheme will run from February to April 2026 and is open to law and non-law students (per the eligibility criteria below).

Participants on the scheme will benefit from the invaluable opportunity of receiving mentoring advice from lawyers, which will take the form of one-to-one sessions covering a range of topics. You’ll participate in several workshops providing you with application and interview tips and advice on converting a vacation scheme into a training contract.

The deadline to apply is 2 February at 5pm.

Eligibility

To apply for this opportunity, you must:

  • be an Aspiring Solicitors member;
  • be eligible for a vacation scheme (second year Law or final year Law undergraduate, final year non-Law undergraduate, graduate of any degree, postgraduate student (including GDL/LPC/LLM or other postgraduate degrees), career changer, or someone who has completed a degree and is working);
  • be on track to receive or have obtained a 2.1 in your degree (taking into account mitigating circumstances);
  • not have previously participated in this Scheme;
  • have an interest in pursuing a legal career at a commercial law firm; and
  • not have secured a training contract with any law firm or legal team.
