Profile:

I grew up in mid-Wales and completed a mixture of A levels in science and essay-based subjects at my local comprehensive school. I then studied Law with Australian Law at the University of Nottingham and graduated in July 2017.

In the summer after graduation, I completed a two-week summer vacation scheme with HFW. I was fortunate enough to be offered a training contract soon after and commenced the Commercial Legal Practice LLM (LPC) at BPP Law School in Holborn that September. I then worked at Slaughter and May within their data protection and privacy team until my training contract start date in September 2019.

I am now an associate in HFW’s insurance and reinsurance team. I work on a variety of contentious matters (litigation, arbitration etc.) across a number of insurance lines of business. A few months after qualifying, I had the opportunity to do an in-house secondment and I worked as a property insurance claims handler for around 10 months for one of our clients.
