Profile:
My name is Ondrej (he/him) and I am an Associate at Cooley (UK) LLP. I advise tech and life sciences clients, from startups to large listed companies, on tech transactions, commercial contracts, and compliance with tech regulation with a focus on European data, cyber, AI and online safety laws. I maintain an active pro bono practice and advise charities and NGOs on a range of technology, intellectual property and data protection matters.
I grew up in Czechia and moved to Scotland to study international relations at the University of St Andrews. I participated in the AS Commercial Awareness Competition and trained at Mayer Brown after completing a vacation scheme at the firm.
The legal profession has historically been slow to change. We all have a lot of work to do to ensure that our teams are truly inclusive and diverse so that we can perform at our best. Aspiring Solicitors have helped me a great deal and I hope I can help others by offering advice and answering questions, big or small, about the legal profession. Please do get in touch.
