Profile:
I am a trainee solicitor at Beale & Company Solicitors LLP and am set to qualify in September 2025.
Although I was born in London, I spent much of my young adult life in Saudi Arabia before returning to the UK for university. I hold a degree in Human Geography from Queen Mary University of London and went on to complete an MSc in Human Rights at the London School of Economics and Political Science. I later completed both the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) and the Legal Practice Course (LPC), and worked as a paralegal for nearly two years before securing a training contract.
Coming from a non-legal background, the process of applying for and securing a training contract was undoubtedly challenging. I remember feeling overwhelmed and often struggled with application anxiety. It can be frustrating and disheartening when the road ahead feels long and uncertain. I was fortunate to be introduced to a friend of a friend who became a mentor and guided me through the process. That relationship was invaluable it gave me the confidence, clarity, and encouragement I needed to keep going.
That experience showed me just how vital support and guidance are, especially for those from underrepresented or non-traditional backgrounds. I strongly believe that diversity in the legal profession is not only important to reflect the society we serve, but also to ensure a richness of thought, perspective, and lived experience within the profession. I’m passionate about paying it forward and helping others navigate their own journeys into law, particularly those who may not see themselves represented in the profession.
I would be very happy to offer support and answer any questions about the application process or the legal profession more broadly.
