Profile:

I have been state educated my whole life in the north of England (and the accent to prove it!), I chose law because I did it at A Level, was quite good at it at and enjoyed it. I obtained a LLB from Newcastle University and obtained a training contract in the North East. I have always focused on LGBT+ related law and now practice in public law (human rights/equality law) specialising in trans- related work. I also practice regulatory law. Prior to my current role I worked at a national, trans support charity as Director of law and policy, which introduced me to the workings and relationship between the law and politics.
