My diversity networks

Profile:

My journey into law began at the University of Liverpool, where I studied from 2019 to 2022 and graduated with a 2:1. During those years, I developed a strong academic foundation and a passion for understanding how legal principles shape business and society. After graduation, I decided to broaden my horizons and gain exposure to the working world outside of law. I spent a year as a recruitment consultant in the oil and gas sector – a role that taught me invaluable transferable skills such as relationship management, negotiation, and resilience, all of which I now apply in my legal career.

I then enrolled at BPP Law School to complete my LLM LPC, achieving a distinction overall. During my studies, I applied for and secured a Training Contract with Kingsley Napley. Before starting my Training Contract, I gained hands-on experience as an in-house paralegal at Willis Towers Watson for six months. This role provided insight into corporate operations and compliance, further strengthening my commercial awareness.

In September 2025, I began my Training Contract at Kingsley Napley. I am currently sitting in the Dispute Resolution team, where I work on a variety of matters, including breach of contract disputes and shareholding disputes. These cases have deepened my understanding of complex litigation.

I believe diversity is vital in law because it ensures that voices from underrepresented backgrounds are heard and valued. A diverse profession brings broader perspectives, fosters innovation, and helps the legal industry better reflect and serve the society it represents.
